The practical embodiment of STLC is demonstrated through the analysis of lexical complexes such as otkryvat' ‘to open,’ kamen' ‘stone,’ and intelligencija ‘intelligentsia.’ In the final chapter of the monograph, FLTCD and STLC are used for the diachronic analysis of semantic change.
